Store Manager/FOH lead

Full time
About Natoora

Natoora is committed to shaping the future of food for the better by revolutionising the supply chain of fruit & vegetables. By supporting both the growers we source from and our local communities, Natoora acts as a vital link in the supply chain. Our goal is to create a more meaningful and responsible food system that preserves seed varieties, growing techniques and traditions that are threatened by modern industrial farming and supermarket culture. We actively seek to re-educate the way people think about and consume fruit & vegetables and believe flavor is the greatest conduit for change.

We are excited to be launching our first NYC Natoora “deli”.

In a charming small space in Williamsburg, BK, we will be selling our top notch, ethically sourced produce and provisions, and will be offering an entirely made from scratch to-go menu, coffee and juices. We are looking for a FOH Lead to join us and help make Natoora’s first retail space a flourishing food enthusiasts destination, a hub for conscious food conversation and community binding.

About the Position

The FOH Lead will work with our Executive Chef to oversee the entire operation of the store. You will create an engaging warm environment, having direct involvement in creating and maintaining profitability, managing retail inventory, and working towards building a following of customers and a community.

You will be the face of a dynamic, committed movement that is driving real change at ground level. We count on you to create a customer following and maximise repeat guest visits. You will understand our sourcing ethos, what makes each product special, and how to take care of it. Through our training programme, we’ll equip you with the tools and knowledge to become a leading campaigner in your own right.

At the core of that knowledge is a deep understanding and appreciation for our produce. You’ll learn where, how and by whom our food is grown, and how every decision - from seed selection to growing method to serving suggestion - can impact the planet. Everyone has a part to play in creating a better food system. This is your chance.

Applicants must show excellent people skills, a strong desire to learn and educate customers, and a good service ethic.
